Jewellery Storage

Over the years, I amassed an impressive  collection of mostly fashion jewellery, also due to the fact that I just can’t bring myself to throw anything away. I end up not wearing a piece for a certain time and rediscover it to fall head over heels in love again. Unfortunately, I like big bulky jewellery and have not found yet a good way of displaying them (my flat is not that big) or to store them. As a temporary solution I am using tool boxes with lots of tiny drawers. Not very stylish but it keeps necklaces from tangling up in one big hot mess. I am still looking for the perfect jewellery storage…

PH 50 the modern classic

Ever since I saw it at the DDC, I fell in love with the PH50 designed by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen Lighting. Find also some other lamps that I would love to integrate one day in my humble home.

If you are interested to know more about Scandinavian and Danish Design, the book from Taschen “Scandinavian Design” gives a good overview. “Danish Modern” gives great background history and has beautiful inspirational pictures. The book “Danish Design” talks in-depth about the PH Artichoke also designed by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen Lighting.

Light up!

Imagine how creative you can get with these… Thumbs up for Michal Maciej Bartosik.

A good book about the latest developments in lighting and light design is LUX: Lamps & Lights.  Due to the rise of LED & OLED pushed by the phasing out of traditional incandescent light bulbs both designers and manufacturers are inspired to experiment and develop new forms, functionalities, structures, and constructions.
