Minimalist Museums

Distilled to the essential and you still can recognize the museums, very powerful graphics.

The art of dessert

Yammie, art and dessert, right up my alley;) That would totally justify a trip to SF to see and eat Modern Art Desserts by Caitlin Freeman for SFMoMA.

Chocolate Cake by Wayne Thiebaud (1971)

Stele I by Ellsworth Kelly (1973)

Michael Jackson and Bubbles by Jeff Koons (1988)

Ocean Park #90 by Richard Diebenkorn (1976)

PH 50 the modern classic

Ever since I saw it at the DDC, I fell in love with the PH50 designed by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen Lighting. Find also some other lamps that I would love to integrate one day in my humble home.

If you are interested to know more about Scandinavian and Danish Design, the book from Taschen “Scandinavian Design” gives a good overview. “Danish Modern” gives great background history and has beautiful inspirational pictures. The book “Danish Design” talks in-depth about the PH Artichoke also designed by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen Lighting.
